  Duermo despedazado por digitos. Me despierto en el no se donde con los cables cruzados, trenzados en un huango de cobre y caucho. Se me cruza el circuito corto, y el largo. me conecto, al vacio ese. pero la lluvia me erosiona el wifi y quedo aislado en mi binaria de ceros a la izquierda con solo un dedo indice para contar mi historia a dos lenguas.

  de fiúcher es un album construido a base de síntesis análoga: La idea fue separar las sensaciones de la música andina de sus instrumentaciones tradicionales; a su vez apropiando instrumentaciones foráneas, para expresar la experiencia de vivir aqui. De ser este Yo. De existir en al menos dos mundos incomunicados. de esa melancolia sublime.

  I wake up in the binary and my eyes are tied. Wires crossed, woven into a braid of copper and rubber. short and long circuits cross. So I connect, to that emptiness, but the rain has eroded my wifi and im left isolated in my binary of zero sum games and two tongued histories, with only my index finger to do the telling.

  De fiúcher is 95% analog synthesis. The idea was to separate the sensations and experiences of living in the andes from its traditional instrumentations and aesthetics, and replacing these with appropriated instruments and language. I wanted to express the experience of living here for me as a latin american citizen in the 21st century. To think what "the future" really means to us, those who due to their place of birth, or their ethnic origins, don't really seem to have a choice in the matter. For a lot of us, technology just lands upon us and society sort of funnels us into using it, relentlessly. We lose our language, culture and music as we are flooded by foreign information that satisfies our data lust. We are subtly being colonized every day and this album is an abstract exploration of a dystopian future where somehow the spirit of culture manages to survive, albeit with radically different aesthetics and new and almost irecognizable mestizations. This is the beginning of an intuitive exploration of my own identity. ... more
